CON-ventional Wisdom Ep. 006

CCILogo-R_Large

In this Episode, Francis and Josh recap their San Diego Comic Con International experience.

This was an amazing experience, that was made possible by Jeff Burns of Super Geeked Up and Shelley Rossell from Back When We Were Interesting.
Listen in as the boys tell you the tale of walking into the CW Press Junket for the TV show, Arrow.  Or how they walked right into the famed Hall H like they owned it, during the WB Panel.

Stars from DC Comics TV Shows to Attend Denver Comic Con 2016
John Barrowman and Camren Bicondova to meet and greet fans

DENVER – March 15, 2016 – Denver Comic Con (DCC), Denver’s largest consumer convention and a program of education-nonprofit Pop Culture Classroom (PCC), today announced it is bringing stars John Barrowman and Camren Bicondova from the DC Comics inspired TV shows “Arrow” and “Gotham” to the June 17 – 19, 2016 event at the Colorado Convention Center.

John Barrowman plays Malcolm Merlyn in The CW series “Arrow,” although he may be best known his role as Captain Jack Harkness in the BBC science fiction dramas, “Doctor Who” and “Torchwood.” Camren Bicondova plays young Selina Kyle, or Catwoman, on the Fox television series “Gotham.”

“DC Comics is really building strength with all of their TV offerings and creating a solid fan base,” said Denver Comic Con director Christina Angel. “With the rising popularity of ‘Gotham,’ ‘The Flash’ and ‘Arrow,’ we are excited to give the fans the opportunity to meet some of their favorite characters from these shows.”

Barrowman, Bicondova and Todd join previously announced guests in the 2016 Denver Comic Con lineup, including Stan Lee (Marvel Comics), Carrie Fisher (Star Wars), Ralph Macchio (Karate Kid and The Outsiders), C. Thomas Howell (The Outsiders), Jenna Coleman and Alex Kingston (Doctor Who), Karl Urban (Star Trek) among many other comic book creators and pop culture celebrities.

Denver Comic Con has quickly become one of the most attended pop culture conventions in America. The popularity is due in part because of its robust schedule of programming—more than 400 hours of sessions during which artists, creators, celebrities and industry experts talk about their craft and their creations—as well as its family-friendly mission and environment. The largest portion of the show floor, more than 9,000 sq. ft., is dedicated to teens and children with activities designed to engage kids in education through pop culture.
